ZERO... ZIP... NADA...ZILTCH...Zero is not a very big number, but that's how many of God's commandments you can break and still get to Heaven... That’s right! If you try to get to Heaven on your own merits, you need to be morally PERFECT! The Bible says: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: 'Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.' "(Galatians 3:10) So, let's see exactly how you measure up to a few of God's commandments. Have you ever told a lie? (9th Commandment) Ever taken anything that didn't belong to you(8th Commandment) Ever used God's name in vain? (3rd Commandment) Ever looked with lust? Jesus said "Whosoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."(Matt 5:28) (7th Commandment) Listen to your conscience. If you are guilty of these then God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer-at-heart. That means eternity in hell. Here's the good news... Jesus took God's wrath on the cross - the wrath that you and I deserve. You broke God's Law.. and Jesus paid your fine! The Bible says: "God commends his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). The Bible also says "God commands all men everywhere to repent, because God has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness" (Acts 17:31) Your good works will amount to NOTHING on Judgment Day. What should you do? Repent (turn from sin) and put your trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you. Don't wait until tomorrow... You may not have another day.
