Hear and Understand

The Mystery
Between You and God

Bad News

Sin separates us from God. Sin is breaking the Law of God, The 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17). Idolatry (which is putting things first in your life other than God or making a god in your mind to suit yourself), using God’s name in vain, not observing the Sabbath day, dishonoring your parents, hating (which is murder in your heart - 1 John 3:15), lusting (which is committing adultery in your heart - Matthew 5:28), stealing, lying, and envying are all sins in God's eyes. The Bible says: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10). God sees what is in our minds and hearts (Jeremiah 20:12). It won’t help if we start doing all the right deeds and good works to be righteous (Isaiah 64:6 & Romans 3:10). “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). “For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23). We are all guilty of breaking God’s Law and there is a penalty for it. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the Judgment [Day].” (Hebrews 9:27). If you die in your disobedience and sins, you deserve nothing but the wrath of God (Romans 1:18 & Colossians 3:6). The Word of God says clearly that you will not inherit eternal life (in Heaven), (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), But you will have your part in the lake of fire (in hell), where you will be tormented forever and ever. (Revelation 21:8 & 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9)

Good News!

However, there is good news! God has provided a way out to rescue us from hell. He gave His Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16) who lived a sinless life (1 John 3:5), taught the will of God the Father. Died on the cross and shed His blood to pay the penalty for our sins (Colossians 1:14). He was buried and on the third day He rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Don't just believe in what Jesus did. The Bible says “the devils also believe, and tremble” (James 2:19). Biblical Salvation is: to Believe that Jesus is the (only) way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Confess and Repent (turn away) from your sins and obey His will (1 John 1:9 & Acts 3:19). Place your faith and full Trust in Jesus Christ alone and what He did on the Cross (Hebrews 11:6 & Proverbs 29:25). By faith the Blood of Jesus will cover and cleanse you from all your sins (1 John 1:7). God will then see you as righteous and with no sin as He sees Christ. His sacrifice on the cross and His shed blood are the only satisfying payment for our sins to save us from the wrath of God. (Romans 3:25-26 & Romans 5:9-11)

Gambling with Your Life?

In this life, whether you are aware or not, we are all preparing to go eternally to heaven or to Hell. When you die and face God on Judgment Day, if you have turned away from your sins and placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you will face Him as your Savior. But If you haven’t, you will face God as a Judge and He will pour out His anger and wrath upon you. (Romans 2:5-9). He will have every right to condemn you and send you to hell for eternity. Please understand He will have to reject you the way you rejected the sacrifice of His Son. Don’t gamble with your life! Repent and place your Trust in the Savior. Do it today while you are still alive – you may not have tomorrow!

Do Your Homework

Do your homework! Investigate whether these claims are true. Dare to search for evidence and facts. Count the cost. Jesus said: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23) Whatever you decide, give it your all. Be cold or be hot, don’t be lukewarm! (Revelation 3:16).

Pray

Acknowledge your sins before God. Recognize that you are helpless without Him. Humble yourself and ask Him for forgiveness. Cry out to Him to have mercy on you, to grant you repentance and faith. Ask Him to give you salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. Only God can save you. Pray in the name of Jesus until He answers you. Read Psalm 51 and make it your prayer.

Good Fruit

“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (Matthew 7:16-19). The bible says “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith.” (2 Corinthians 13:5) (To see if you are a true believer) “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21-23). The Bible also says that your true conversion as a believer of Christ will eventually show the following good fruit (evidence) in your life: repentance, faith, purity, surrender to God’s will, submission to His Word, humbleness, thankfulness, forgiveness, good works, wanting to share Christ and His salvation with others, holiness, obedience, righteousness, and love for others like you love yourself. You will also display the fruit of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23). “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” (Galatians 6:7-8)

Key Verses

“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ ” (John 3:3)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.” (Luke 9:23-24)

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)
What is the Next Step?

Love God and all people (Mark 12:29-31). Pray to God constantly (Philippians 4:6-7 & 1 Thessalonians 5:17). Read the bible daily and obey the will of God (Joshua 1:8). Go to a church with sound teaching and meet regularly with Christians of good fruit (Titus 1:9 & Hebrews 10:25). Share the gospel, tell others about Jesus (Mark 16:15). Please visit www.NeedGod.com
